Let’s be honest—the hardest part of the weekend isn’t the work, it’s scrolling through Netflix for two hours only to end up re-watching Office clips. This week is actually different. We’ve got massive sequels, gritty crime dramas, and even a K-pop comeback that’s breaking the internet.
Here is your no-nonsense guide to what’s actually worth watching.
New OTT Releases of the Week
1. Border 2 (Netflix)
The Vibe: High-energy, patriotic, and pure Sunny Deol magic. It took almost 30 years, but we finally got the sequel to the most iconic war movie in India. Sunny Deol is back, and this time he’s joined by Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. If you want something to watch with the family where everyone’s cheering at the screen, this is it. Watch Border 2 on Netflix.
2. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (Netflix)
The Vibe: Sharp suits, dark alleys, and “By order of the Peaky Blinders.” Tommy Shelby’s story finally gets its grand finale in this movie. Set during World War II, a retired Tommy has to head back to Birmingham to keep his family (and his legacy) from falling apart. Cillian Murphy is, as always, a total boss.
3. The Housemaid (Prime Video)
The Vibe: A psychological puzzle that’ll make your head spin. Based on the massive bestseller by Freida McFadden, this one stars Sydney Sweeney. She plays a live-in maid who realizes her wealthy employers are hiding some seriously dark secrets in their “perfect” house. If you love a good “who can you trust?” thriller, don’t skip this. You can watch The Housemaid on Prime Video.
4. Chiraiya (JioHotstar)
The Vibe: Heavy, raw, and socially important. This 6-episode series led by Divya Dutta is tough to watch but necessary. It tackles the conversation around marital rape and domestic rights in a very real way. It’s not a “fun” watch, but it’s powerful storytelling that stays with you. If you want to watch Chiraiya, you can watch it on JioHotstar.
5. BTS: The Comeback Live – Arirang (Netflix)
The Vibe: The ultimate fan service and massive stage energy. The ARMY has been waiting four years for this. All seven members are back together for a global live performance and documentary special. Even if you aren’t into K-pop, the sheer scale of this production is something to see. Watch BTS: The Comeback Live – Arirang on Netflix.
6. Invincible: Season 4 (Prime Video)
The Vibe: Superhero action that definitely isn’t for kids. Mark Grayson is back, and things are getting even more violent. This season covers the “Viltrumite War” arc from the comics, and the stakes are officially cosmic. It’s easily the best animated show for adults out right now. The Invincible: Season 4 is available on Prime Video.
7. Imperfect Women (Apple TV+)
The Vibe: A “Big Little Lies” style mystery. Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington star in this thriller about three best friends. When one of them is murdered, the other two realize they didn’t actually know her at all. It’s a slow burn mystery that keeps you guessing. You can watch Imperfect Women on Apple TV+.
8. Jazz City (SonyLIV)
The Vibe: Retro, musical, and politically charged. Set in 1971 Kolkata, this show follows a jazz club owner caught in the middle of the Bangladesh Liberation War. It’s got a very cool, atmospheric vibe with great music and high-stakes espionage. Jazz City is available on SonyLIV.
9. Jatadhara (Prime Video)
The Vibe: Folk horror that’ll give you the creeps. Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu lead this psychological horror-action flick. It’s about a man who doesn’t believe in ghosts until he gets caught up in an ancient ritual. It’s a fresh take on the horror genre in India. You can watch Jatadhara on Prime Video.
10. Kasaragod Embassy (ZEE5)
The Vibe: Small-town crime with big consequences. A Malayalam crime thriller about two cousins who get sucked into a fake passport and forgery ring. It’s a gritty, realistic look at how far people will go for a “better life” and the mess they find themselves in. Watch Kasaragod Embassy on ZEE5.
